Woman holding cat discusses compounding for pets with vet

What we compound for animals

We prepare medications to your veterinarian’s prescription in forms animals will actually accept. Flavored liquid suspensions in chicken, beef, fish, or marshmallow. Transdermal gels that go on the inside of a cat’s ear instead of down its throat. Chewable treats. And accurate small doses for rabbits, birds, and other animals where a commercial tablet is many times too strong.

Compounding also helps when a manufacturer discontinues a veterinary product, when your pet reacts to a dye or preservative in the commercial version, or when an animal needs two medications combined into one administration. Bring us the prescription from your vet and we will talk through which form is most likely to work for your particular animal.
