Compounding for Common Health Concerns

Patient-specific hormone preparations may include customized strengths and dosage forms such as sustained-release capsules, topical creams, vaginal preparations, and troches.

Common preparations at Warren’s include progesterone capsules, testosterone creams and troches, and estriol preparations.

Customized thyroid prescriptions may be appropriate when a patient requires a specific strength, dosage form, or ingredient profile that is not available commercially.

Our pharmacy team can work with prescribers to discuss available compounding options based on the individual prescription.

Warren’s commonly prepares patient-specific low-dose naltrexone capsules, including 4.5 mg formulations.

Our pharmacists can work with prescribers when customized strengths or dosage forms are needed.

Compounding may help when neurologic medications require a customized liquid, suspension, capsule, or other dosage form.

Examples of prescriptions we prepare include clobazam suspension, lacosamide solution, baclofen suspension, and other patient-specific preparations.

Customized topical preparations may be prescribed when a patient requires a specific combination, concentration, or route of administration.

Warren’s prepares patient-specific topical compounds for pain and neuropathy based on the prescriber’s prescription.

Customized topical creams, gels, ointments, and other preparations may allow prescribers to tailor ingredients and concentrations for an individual patient.

Certain prescriptions may be compounded into nasal or other localized dosage forms when prescribed.

Warren’s prepares patient-specific preparations such as compounded gentamicin nasal formulations when appropriate.

Our compounding team prepares capsules, oral liquids, suspensions, troches, topical preparations, and other customized dosage forms based on patient-specific prescriptions.

Examples include compounded betahistine, praziquantel, and specialty strengths that may not be commercially available.
